Mason Van Gieson is an actor/vocalist/dramaturg based in New York. Originally raised on a small inland lake in southeast Michigan, she always felt a deep interest in the imaginary within the natural world. She is a question-asker who prioritizes deep research, and her artistic aims surround unearthing forgotten stories and uplifting marginalized voices. She is passionate about both the development of new works and reinterpretation of classic texts through new lenses. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she has a BFA in Theatre Performance and a BA in Anthropology.

In addition to performing, Mason has served on the other side of the table, most recently working in project development for veteran theatre and film producer John N. Hart (projects include THE SOUND INSIDE at Studio 54).
